Ottawa police have charged five people in relation to a drive-by shooting south of downtown on Wednesday, July 23, 2014.

Police say at around 8:15 p.m. shots were fired from one vehicle to another on Bank St. north of Heron Rd. No one was injured.

Police made the arrests after search warrants were executed on several homes and vehicles in the city.

They seized two loaded handguns and drugs. The cocaine seized had a value of $2,610.

 The Guns and Gangs Unit said they are looking for links between recent shootings.
