Members of the public are invited to attend a memorial service next week for CFRA News anchor Lauren Davis.
A public memorial service is to be held on Tuesday, May 19th, from 5 to 7 p.m. The service is at the Hulse Playfair and McGarry Family Reception Centre at 315 Mcleod Street at O'Connor Street.
Davis passed away unexpectedly at the age of 24. She was on maternity leave at the time. She leaves behind a young son, Colin, and her husband, Phil.
“Lauren’s sudden passing was a shock to our CFRA and Bell Media staff here in Ottawa,” Bell Media Ottawa Regional Vice-President Richard Gray said in a statement released shortly after her death.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Lauren, who had just become a mom in the last year. We also want to extend our deepest sympathies to Lauren’s husband, Phil Shirakawa, who is a producer with us here at CFRA. Lauren will be deeply missed by her family and the many colleagues here who knew her so well.”
