Arnprior is one of 32 eastern Ontario municipalities where voters could cast their ballots remotely - online or by phone.

The online system got so overwhelmed between 6 and 8 p.m. in Arnprior - it crashed.

The election in Arnprior has been extended to Tuesday at 8 p.m.

  • Neil Ellis returned in Belleville.
  • Tight race in Brockville - Mayor David Henderson with a slim lead over Ben Tekamp.
  • Change of the guard on the way in Carleton Place - Wendy LeBlanc with a comfortable lead over Mayor Paul Dulmage.
  • In Clarence-Rockland - Marcel Guibord wins over Pierre Charron.
  • An easy win for mayor Bob Kilger in Cornwall.
  • In Hawkesbury, Mayor Jeanne Charlebois loses to challenger Rene Berthiaume.
  • In Russell Township, Jean-Paul St. Pierre was elected mayor, defeating incumbent Ken Hill.
  • Jim McDonell came ahead in the mayor's race in South Glengarry.
  • Grant Crack was elected in North Glengarry.
  • In Prescott, Brett Todd defeats current mayor, Suzanne Dodge.
  • In Kingston, Mark Gerretsen - the son of former mayor and provincial Liberal cabinet minister John Gerretsen with an easy win.
  • Mississippi Mills has a new mayor. It's John Levi by about 200 votes over Brenda Hurrle.
  • In Napanee, incumbent Gordon Schermerhorn returned to office.
  • Ed Jacyno has returned in Pembroke.
  • No competition for John Fenik in Perth this time around - he was acclaimed.
  • Another easy win for Mayor John Williams in Quinte West - taking more than 90 per cent of the vote.
  • In Smiths Falls a tight race - but incumbent Dennis Staples was re-elected by about 100 votes.
  • And in Eganville - Mayor Zig Mintha is defeated by Jennifer Murphy
  • And no official numbers in yet, but we know Bob Kilger has been re-elected in Cornwall.
  • In Laurentian Valley, Mayor Jack Wilson with an easy win.
  • And, Dave Gordon knocks off incumbent Bill Gooch in North Grenville.
