A 51 year old Maniwaki man appeared in Gatineau court Friday to face a charge of second degree murder.
Quebec Police charged Michel Sabourin following the discovery of a woman's body in a home Thursday afternoon on Manawaki's rue Principale.
The victim has been identified as 47 year old Lynda Riopel.
Sabourin's next court appearence is scheduled for January 31st.
Maniwaki is located 135 kilometres north of Gatineau.
