Ottawa police are searching for a man wanted in four separate bank robberies.

The most recent robbery happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 31, 2015 at a bank in the Gloucester Centre. Police say a lone male entered the bank at 1980 Ogilvie Rd. and produced a note demanding cash. The suspect was confronted by bank staff and fled the scene empty handed.  

Police believe the suspect is tied to three other bank robberies that happened last week .

The first, a hold up at the South Keys Plaza, happened around 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 24, 2015 . Police say the same suspect hit branches on Montreal Rd. and the St. Laurent mall on Friday and Saturday.

In each case the suspect handed a note to staff demanding money. Police say the suspect indicated he had a gun, though none was ever seen.

There were no injuries reported.
