KINGSTON, Ont. - A 30-year-old man is facing an attempted murder charge after a stabbing incident in Kingston, Ont., that left another man with serious injuries.

Police say two Kingston-area men got into a fight shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday (near Princess Street and Macdonnell Street) and officers were called to the scene where a 39-year-old man was found bleeding.

He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and police say he was listed in serious but stable condition.

A man, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested a short distance away.

In addition to the attempted murder charge, he also faces two counts of breach of probation and weapons-related charges.
