Ottawa police are investigating an overnight shooting in downtown Ottawa.
Police say the shooting happened around 2:40 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29 outside a bar near Bank and Slater Street. The victim was shot in the back. He got into a cab and was driven to the hospital. He's listed in stable condition.
The Guns and Gangs unit says the victim is a gang member.
Police are speaking to several witnesses. Bank Street was closed as police investigated. It re-opened at 5:45 a.m. Monday morning.
