Ottawa police say one man is in hospital after a shooting in Ottawa’s Herongate neighbourhood on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
Police say they received multiple 911 calls around 5:21 p.m. about reports of gunshots near a rowhouse in the 2800 block of Cedarwood Dr.
Police believe the man was shot while engaged in a chase with another man, who fled the scene.
Police also said they recovered a handgun near the scene.
Police spent much of the evening interviewing witnesses and said a description of the suspect was forthcoming.
