With the rising cost of food and no time to sift throught the weekly flyers, Remsy Schmilinsky, a software developer, had to find another way.

He created a website called Flyer-on-Fire. It works like Google, but for groceries. Every week the site is updated with the prices from the latest flyers in Ottawa and Gatineau.

Statistics Canada has found that food prices have been on a steady incline over the last 4 years. The rising costs have many consumers shopping around for deals.
