Gatineau police are looking for a suspect in connection with that city's third murder.  They identified a body found inside a burned out home as that of 64 year Diane Lahaie. The fire at the home at 14 rue de Gaspe happened more than a week ago, on July 27. Police say it was deliberately set. Inside they found the body they've now identified as Diane Lahaie.   Police believe there may have been an explosion but  they are not sure whether Lahaie was killed as a result of that or was dead already.

They are hoping the autopsy will tell them how she died and that their criminal investigation will tell them why.

“She was living by herself,” says Constable Pierre Lanthier of the Gatineau Police, “alone at her property and we never had to deal with that lady.  She was a calm and quiet woman, and the Gatineau service never responded to any call at that address.”

Gatineau Police don't have any suspects at this moment, or a motive. They are asking anyone with information to call them at 819-243-2346, extension 6677.
