Four people have been taken to hospital after a two car crash in Vanier.

The collision happened at Montreal and Marier early Tuesday morning.

Paramedics say the 22-year-old female passenger of the car was treated for head injuries. She is in serious condition in hospital.

A 54 year old male driver of the SUV was treated for minor chest injuries as a result of airbag deployment. He was in stable condition in hospital.

The driver of the car, in his 20’s, trapped due to extensive vehicle damage, was treated for leg and hip injuries. He was extricated by the Ottawa Fire Services. He is in serious but stable condition in hospital.

Paramedics assessed a 52 year-old female passenger of the SUV for chest injuries. She refused treatment at hospital.

Montreal Road is closed between Olmstead and Begin while police investigate.
