Monday's record rainfall had city of Ottawa work crews busy, especially in the Village of North Gower.

The Fire Hall in North Gower became flood relief central as homeowners were able to get sandbags to keep water from flooding homes.

A number of farm fields in the North Gower area remain flooded.

These road closures were still in effect as of Tuesday afternoon.

  • Donnelly Drive between Malakoff Road and Harnett Road
  • Paden Road between Malakoff Road and Harnett Road
  • Roger Stevens Drive between Malakoff Road and Dwyer Hill Road
  • Perkins Drive between Stevens Drive and Church Street

City crews responded to 11 sewer service calls in five different wards.

Some of those calls related to basement flooding.

Sportsfields throughout the city were waterlogged but many of them were dry today after hours without rain.
