It's still many years from being complete, but residents took a final chance to have their say in part of the Light Rail Transit plan.

About 100 people gathered at City Hall on Wednesday to see plans and listen to a presentation about the western extension of the Confederation Line.

Noise, pollution and the use of land were top among concerns brought forward by residents. City staff were on hand to answer any questions and lay out the plan.

The west extension will run from Tunney's Pasture to the Baseline and Bayshore stations. All told, stage two of the LRT will add 19 stations and over 30 kilometres of track. All three parts of stage two are currently in the environmental assessment process.
