The Ottawa Fat Cats look to continue thrilling fans at the Ottawa Stadium as they take the field for their home opener Saturday night.

The last time local fans saw the team play was during their unlikely run to last year's Intercounty Baseball League final, where they ultimately fell to the Brantford Red Sox.

LaDale Hayes, Cody Mombourquette, Josh Soffer and Danny Desclouds are among the veterans remaining from last year's runners-up, with pitcher Marc-Andre Major joining the team from Brantford.

The Fat Cats are four games into the 2012 IBL season with a record of one win and three losses, opening the season with a victory in Guelph before losing to Toronto, Kitchener and Barrie.

First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. against the Kitchener Panthers as the Fat Cats unveil their new white jerseys, with games Sunday and Monday at 1:05 p.m.
