Four people have had to find somewhere else to live after a fire heavily damaged their home Tuesday afternoon.

Crews say they were called to 45 Delamere Dr. just after 1:30 p.m. When they arrived, the two-storey home had smoke coming from the roof and eaves.

Fire officials say they believe the fire started on the ground floor near the stairwell. Damage to the homes is estimated at $400,000.

While two adults and two children are now homeless, Ottawa Fire Service says they did not need Victim’s Assistance.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause.
