Gatineau police are investigating after a body was pulled from the Ottawa River east of the city Sunday afternoon.
They said they were called to the area near the Leblanc et fils marina at 4:30 p.m. after a family made the discovery while out fishing.
It was pulled from an island in the middle of the river, about 25 minutes northeast of downtown Ottawa.
Police said they aren't able to say if the body is male or female.
