The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 between Prescott and the 416 are now open to traffic.
The eastbound lanes of that stretch of Highway 401 were closed for hours after about 20 vehicles were in involved in several different collisions on Friday, according to police.
Crews worked around the clock to clear the tangle of smashed vehicles and debris off the road.
The crashes happened around 4:30 p.m.
Ottawa Paramedics assisted emergency crews from Kemptville and Brockville.
Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries. They are now in stable condition.
