Parliament Hill remains closed to the public following yesterday’s attack and fatal shooting of a Canadian soldier at the National War Memorial. Ottawa residents have been warned to expect an increased police presence in the downtown core for the next few days.
The following streets are also closed:
- Wellington Street between Metcalfe Street and Mackenzie Avenue
- Elgin Street between Wellington Street and Queen Street
A security perimeter around the National War Memorial and Parliament Hill was lifted late Wednesday night.
