A horrifying scene in Ottawa's west end after a male cyclist was struck and killed by a dump truck during the morning commute on Thursday, November 27, 2014.
Police and Paramedics were called to the corner of Merivale Road at Clyde Avenue around 8:30 Thursday morning.
An off-duty paramedic was one of the first on the scene and tried to revive the man without success. Paramedics say the male cyclist, in his forties, was pronounced dead at the scene. Ottawa Police remain at the scene to investigate the fatal crash.
Several roads in the area remain closed. More to come...
