Hopefully you didn't put away all your sweaters for the summer. Environment Canada says this has been the coolest July in five years. On only two days this month did the mercury rise above 30 degrees.

The cool weather is causing many people to turn off their air conditioning and as a result we are using less hydro. Energy consumption across the province is down 10% this month compared to the same period last year.

Wednesday’s heavy rain made it the wettest July 30th ever on record.
