CN cycle for CHEO racing into town this weekend

CN Cycle for CHEO this Sunday

Thousands of cyclists will be racing through the streets on Sunday for the annual CN Cycle for CHEO.

The event is CHEO's largest cancer fundraiser, with a goal of raising at least $750,000.

The first race, the 70 km cycle, leaves LeBreton Flats at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, with the shorter routes slated to take off later in the morning. Cyclists are expected to return to LeBreton Flats before 12:30.

A number of streets will be closed between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the popular event.

Wellington St. (Eastbound lane reduction Booth St. to Lyon St.) 8 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
Wellington St. (Westbound lane reduction Sussex Dr. to Lyon St.) 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Wellington St. (Westbound Lyon St. to Booth St.) 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Portage Bridge (Closed both directions) 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Lyon St. (Wellington St. to Laurier Ave.) 8 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
