Several hundred people took to the streets in downtown Ottawa Monday to celebrate the accomplishments of workers across the country.
The annual march left Ottawa City Hall and weaved its way through downtown streets and ended at McNabb Park with a picnic.
The picnic included children’s games, pony rides and face painting.
The president of the Ottawa and District Labour Council said while there has been significant progress in the labour industry, there’s still a long way to go.
