A firefighter was injured in Gatineau as a fire engulfed a two storey home Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were sent to the Old Hull area just after 7:00 a.m. Responders were able to get the fire under control by 9:30 a.m.

The family, two adults and a baby, managed to escape the home located on Helene-Duval street.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. However, fire officials believe that the fire started on the second storey porch at the side of the house.

Damages are estimated at around $130,000.
